Private Chat
Your conversations belong to you.
Real BilgeQor-owned product work. This is an owned product case, not a client engagement or demo.
UpRelay is a high-trust private communication system designed for people, families, founders, professionals, and teams who want their private conversations to remain truly private. It is built so that nobody in the middle, including UpRelay, can read what users share. Messages, calls, media, voice notes, and private group communication are designed around encrypted, identity-shielded communication that feels simple, calm, and premium from the first use. Unlike ordinary messengers, UpRelay does not require a phone number, email address, date of birth, location, or personal contact information to start. Each user receives a private UpRelay ID, such as UR-8K2M-4P9X, and decides who to share it with. The product is not a social network, not a public community app, and not an enterprise meeting tool. It is designed for intentional private communication: one-to-one conversations, trusted contacts, small groups, private calls, secure business communication, and calm daily privacy.

Product and UX focus
- The main product goal was to make advanced privacy feel understandable, calm, and effortless.
- The interface avoids fear-based security language, hacker aesthetics, overloaded settings, and technical complexity.
- Every major product decision supports one clear principle: users should feel in control of their private communication without needing to understand the technology behind it.
- The UX creates a calm first impression, asks for minimal personal information, and explains privacy in simple, human language.
- Private identity is centered on the UpRelay ID, allowing contact sharing without exposing phone numbers or public identity details.
- Safety number verification helps trusted contacts confirm who they are communicating with.
- Messaging, calling, media, voice notes, app lock, Hidden Archive, restore flows, and subscription states are designed to stay clean, quiet, and easy to understand.
- Small trusted group communication is prioritized over noisy public spaces or social feed behavior.
- Business access feels discreet, private, and professional, not like a corporate monitoring tool.
- UpRelay Business extends the same private communication experience to teams: organizations can provision access and manage billing per member, but they do not receive access to private chats.
Security, privacy, and release
- UpRelay's privacy model is explained to users in simple terms: conversations stay private because they are encrypted before they leave the user's device.
- Messages are encrypted on the user's device before being sent, and only the intended participants can read them. UpRelay cannot read private message content.
- Voice calls are protected with encrypted communication so the audio remains private between the participants.
- Video calls are protected with encrypted communication so video and audio remain confidential between the participants.
- Group video calls are designed for trusted groups, keeping video and audio private among the group participants. UpRelay cannot watch the call.
- The product minimizes personal data from the beginning: no phone number, email address, date of birth, geolocation, or identity document is required for normal account creation.
- Conversation history is designed to stay on the user's device rather than becoming a cloud-first archive. Users control what they keep and what they delete.
- UpRelay services are designed to run on secure European infrastructure. Server-level access does not mean access to private message content because private content is encrypted before transmission.
- Additional privacy layers include safety number verification, Face ID app lock, Hidden Archive, privacy-safe Briefing, and user-controlled Voice Note Intelligence.
- Briefing uses user-selected topics and regions, not private chat content.
- Voice Note Intelligence runs only after the user explicitly chooses to open it. Results are private to the user, voice messages are not processed automatically, and the sender is not notified when the feature is used.
- The product supports selected client transparency for independent review and a security architecture designed to evolve over time without rebuilding the whole product.
- The release direction avoids exaggerated claims such as unbreakable, military-grade, zero metadata, anonymous and untraceable, or quantum encrypted. Instead, the product uses clear, strong, and responsible privacy language that users can understand and trust.

Delivery note
This case describes a private communication product experience and trust surface prepared for UpRelay. It does not claim unbreakable security, zero metadata, complete anonymity, legal privilege, guaranteed availability, regulatory certification, or immunity from all threats. All privacy and security language must remain truth-safe and limited to the encrypted communication model of the product, identity-shielded onboarding, device-first history, verification, access, recovery, business provisioning, and user-controlled intelligence features.
